Participating in a FACTSnet Dialogue

We use the following discussion guidelines from the Alberta Ministry of Education Local Conversation Kit:
  • Everyone has wisdom.
  • We need everyone’s wisdom for the wisest result.
  • There are no wrong answers.
  • The whole is greater than the sum of the parts.
  • Everyone will hear others and be heard.
Participation in a dialogue is done by commenting to blog posts.

There are several options to identifying your comment.  We suggest using the name/URL option as follows so comments from participants with similar backgrounds can be linked together if that becomes desirable.
  • In the name blank assign yourself a participant # (which is the next number in the in the "P" series, for example if the last comment was made by p25 your # would be p26.
  • In your comment to this post identify yourself by indicating your affiliation and stage in life e.g. mother of children in grades 1,3; grade five teacher; grandparent etc.
  • Group comments should be identified by a group # in the "G" series (g1, g2, g3,,,) and in the participants in the group should be listed, for example, g5 my have p26,27,28,29,30.
  • It optional to put other helpful information in either your group or personal comments.
Please comment below to identify yourself and your group, if you are commenting as a group.
